Short version first, because nobody reads these: we have no accounts, we take no payments, and the only personal information most visitors ever give us is an email address — and only if they choose to write to us.
The short version
- No sign-up, no login, no newsletter.
- We never see a card number, because we never take payment.
- We do not sell or rent personal information. Ever.
- We do not ask about your health, and you should not send health details to us.
What we collect
If you email us
We keep your address and your message for as long as it takes to deal with it, plus a record of any correction we made because of it. You are not added to any list; we do not run one.
Automatically
Our web host keeps ordinary server logs — IP address, browser and device type, the page you came from, which pages were requested and when. That is used for security and to see what gets read. Where we use analytics, we prefer tools that report totals rather than individuals.
Campaign and order tracking
If you arrive here with tracking information in the web address, it is carried through to the order link so the retailer can tell which site sent the sale. It tells us which campaign you came from. It does not tell us who you are.
What’s stored in your browser
One thing: a session storage entry that remembers when the timer on the sticky bar started, so it does not restart every time you open a new page. It disappears when you close the tab, it never leaves your browser, and it is a page element rather than a claim that stock runs out.
Analytics, where used, may set a cookie. Once you click through to the retailer you are on their website, under their policy, and they set their own.
Third parties
Our web host handles traffic. Google Fonts serves the two typefaces. The affiliate network and the retailer handle click tracking and, once you click, the entire transaction. Each has its own privacy policy — the retailer’s is worth a look before you buy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to see, correct, delete or export whatever personal data an organisation holds about you, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of that with us, write to [email protected].
Because we hold so little — usually just an email thread you started — most requests take us minutes. We will never charge you for one.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and Leptozan is not for anyone under 18 either.
Security and how long we keep things
The site runs over HTTPS. Emails are deleted once they are no longer useful. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise — what we can say is that there is very little here worth taking.
Changes
If this policy changes in any way that matters, the date at the top changes too.
